Antarctica? No.

Penguins? Yes!

Here's the first batch of work-related drawings. These were drawn from life for a painting/anatomy study (basically I made some realistic cardboard cut-outs of penguins for a educational program). A few fun facts: the Little Blue Penguin (sometimes called the "Fairy Penguin") is the smallest species of penguin in the world, and possibly the cutest. Rockhopper Penguins actually look that grumpy in real life.


And here's an African Penguin. The pink above their eyes is due to the absence of feathers; they release body heat (sweat) through this bare skin. Totally hawt!
So yeah. Expect more drawings, and I'll work on the fun facts...to try and make them "fun".
